Biography

O nly aged 23, French singer Jérémy Amelin has already the talent, the voice and energy of a true star. In just three years, after being a highly-noticed candidate on French music TV show « Entrées d’Artistes » - broadcasted on France 2 TV channel in France - and being the finalist of French blockbuster music TV show « Star Academy 5 » - equivalent of American Idol broadcasted on France's #1 TV channel TF1 - Jérémy can't help but go beyond his own limits to redefine the very notion of showman.

After over 16 live primetime shows on TF1 followed by over 7,000,000 TV viewers each week, a smash single « A Contre Sens » ranked #13 in the French billboard charts the first week of its release, a nationwide tour of over 115 concerts including France's biggest arenas such as the Olympia, the Congress Palace, Zeniths, but also the Dix Heures Theater, after 2 exclusive live shows in Europe's biggest nightclub - the « QUEEN CLUB » on the Champs Elysées, the creation of his own clothing line « ELEKTRODE » (photographed by one of the biggest names in the Fashion industry : FRED GOUDON – author of the world-famous « Dieux du Stade 2006 » rugbymen calendar, backstage filmed and broadcasted on FashionTV), numerous musical collaborations with top-notch electro music producers : Thomas Roussel (Bob Sinclar), James Rendon (Britney Spears), Pink Noisy, WesField, etc. Jérémy is jumping from one success to another without anything resisting him.

Even though it might be hard to imagine, only three years ago, Jérémy was just a simple teenager living in the French countryside in a small town of the Loiret area (Montcresson). His first steps into the music industry were after his selection on the French music TV show « Entrées d’Artistes » - hosted by Pascal Sevran. From that moment on, he had put the French audience under his spell, right away with his charming and stunning performances full of emotion. Shortly after, he entered the French TV daily game show on TF1 « A Prendre ou A Laisser », hosted by Arthur. Nicknamed the « singer » during the show, he got contacted by the producers of the now famous French « Star Academy », who invited him to participate in the show's 5th season. After refusing the proposal for a while, he finally accepted to be a candidate on the program only 15 days before the live launching of the new Star Academy season. Then, he only had one thing in mind : being a finalist, wish come true after singing with the international music industry's biggest selling-artists such as : Madonna, James Blunt, Mariah Carey, Shaggy, Anastacia, Juanes, Céline Dion, Stevie Wonder and all that during over 16 live primetime shows on TF1 followed by over 7,000,000 TV viewers each week.

In early 2006, Universal Music France (Mercury division) launched Jérémy's 1st smash single : « A Contre Sens », for which he wrote the B-side track : « J’te Déteste ». Universal Records were right as the single immediately ranked itself #13 in the French billboard charts the first week of its release. Then followed a nationwide tour of over 115 concerts including France's biggest arenas such as the Olympia, the Congress Palace, Zeniths, but also the Dix Heures Theater (where he performed live on stage for over 3 consecutive weeks, and 1 additional week).

In early 2007, Jérémy launched his own clothing line : ELEKTRODE by Jérémy Amelin, in direct partnership with the world's historic and biggest-selling clothing brand : the JAJ Group (distributor of leading brands SCHOTT, AIRNESS, M.DIA, etc.). Rolling on the success of his brand, ELEKTRODE is now available in every major clothing stores in France such as the Galeries Lafayette, BHV Men Rivoli. Jérémy has also opened his first fashion boutique in downtown Paris, two steps away from the world-famous Louvre Museum. Recently, he made his Fall/Winter 2009 ad campaign directed and photographed by one of the biggest names in the Fashion industry : FRED GOUDON – author of the world-famous « Dieux du Stade 2006 » rugbymen calendar), this campaign has also been filmed and his currently broadcasted on the world's leading fashion TV channel : FashionTV.

In early 2008, he reached another success performing live on stage at the QUEEN CLUB - world-famous nightclub on the Champs Elysées where international biggest stars are performing. Since then, he has focused on writing and composing new tracks for his upcoming first album, coming out November 2nd, 2009.

In early 2009, an amazing natiowide buzz has supported the release of his 2nd single « Dans L'Un, L'Une ». With over 1,000,000 views of his single on DailyMotion (European equivalent of YouTube), over a hundred press articles reporting his comeback, a global broadcast on FG RADIO and on every major French music TV channels including MTV, NRJ HITS, MCM, M6 MUSIC CLUB, NRJ DANCE, a direct entry on the TOP40 radio and club airplay charts of RADIO FG and France's #1 leading radio : FUN RADIO, Jérémy Amelin ranked himself 2nd of French ITUNES sales for 3 consecutive weeks right after its release in late March 2009 !

Starting September 7th, 2009, Jérémy is now coming back with a new smash hit titled : « WHAT MORE », taken from his upcoming new album (coming out November 2nd, 2009). 100% dancefloor and tainted with electro-rock vibes, Jérémy Amelin will release an exclusive 10-track REMIX EP worlwide featuring major electro remix productions by Thomas Roussel (Bob Sinclar), James Rendon (Britney Spears), Pink Noisy, WesField, etc.

French ambassador for the REVES organization, which goal is to make sick-children's dream come true or for the ELA organization which aims at gathering funds to support research
against leucodystrophia, Jérémy continues on providing support away from the press and TV.

His collection of successes, and his numerous music collaborations make Jérémy a one-ofa-kind artist. The best to come is still ahead, be sure that Jérémy will continue to surprise all of us for a long time !
